A true testament to the craftsmanship and resilience of the era, this coat is certified with the British Broad Arrow ordenance mark, which has been used on British Army equipment since at least 1553.

Made from a proofed cotton canvas, this coat was specifically designed to withstand the harsh elements of wind and rain, ensuring that dispatch riders could carry out their duties with utmost protection and style.

The double-breasted front of the coat exudes a timeless elegance, while the waist belt adds a touch of traditional utilitarian charm. Condition: Fair - A great collectors piece due to the garments history. The coat is fairly stiff due to the age of the coat and the significant weight of the canvas. Whilst, the fabric itself is comparable to the thickness of tarps and vintage military tents, well-made for its original intended use over full field wear. Suitable as a display/collector's piece and not recommended for wearing, due to the stiffness of the aged fabric.
