We value your custom and pride ourselves on offering a prompt and professional service to our clients. By utilising The Merchant Fox website and/or placing an order you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions as set out below.
All goods offered on The Merchant Fox website are subject to availability and many of the items are bespoke or made to order. Once you place an order we will email you with the expected delivery date. Please refer to the delivery information tab for each product to find out more detail on likely delivery timescales. The Merchant Fox takes all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on our website are correct at the time the information is entered onto the system. Errors and omissions excepted. Prices are subject to change without notice. There may be slight colour variations between the image displayed and the actual item.
We update our product listing on a regular basis to reflect changes in our product lines. Please check product details to ensure you are choosing the item you require.
No contract will commence between you and The Merchant Fox for the sale to you of any product unless and until The Merchant Fox accepts your order by email or phone and gives you an expected date for delivery. For the avoidance of doubt, any such contract will be deemed to have been concluded in the United Kingdom. Further, any such contract will be interpreted, construed and enforced in all respects in accordance with the laws of England, and you and The Merchant Fox irrevocably agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
All items supplied remain the property of The Merchant Fox until final payment of all sums owing in respect of those goods has been received in full by us.
In the unlikely event that you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 14 days and we will be happy to assist you with your return. All returns must be agreed in advance. We regret that the delivery costs incurred in returning any items to The Merchant Fox will not be refunded, except in the case of faulty or damaged goods.
We encourage you to check the item carefully on receipt and inform us within 3 days of any damage or faults with the item. We regret that we will not able to offer an exchange or credit note for damaged items unless you inform us within this timescale.
Please note that we cannot accept return of any item that has been used or is not in its original packaging.
If you do need to return an item, please remember to include a note explaining why you are returning the item and also a copy of the invoice/receipt from the original packing.
Please be aware, that any authorised returns may incur additional taxes and duties upon sending the good/s back to us (depending on your countries regulations). The customer is solely responsible for paying any of these charges incurred, as well as the responsibility of safely shipping the item/s to our return address.
Also, please use a traceable method when returning your item, as we cannot accept liability if something is lost in transit and fails to reach us.

Any refunds will be given via your original payment method. Refunds usually show within 72 hours of processing, although some card providers can take a little longer.
Incorrect, Broken and/or Faulty Items
In the unlikely event that you receive an item that is broken, faulty, deficient of items shown on the delivery note, or fails to match the items you ordered, we will be pleased to replace this item free of charge. Please contact us within 3 days of receipt if this is the case as all returns must be agreed in advance. If we require the item to be returned to us we will refund the cost of postage. Unless we receive notification within 3 days, you will be deemed to have accepted the items as satisfactory.
We work with a small number of manufacturers in Britain and the majority of our items come with a standard manufacturers' guarantee, although this will vary depending upon the manufacturer. Please telephone us in the first instance so that we can advise you further. Please return the item so we can obtain a quote for the repair. You will need to pay the postage costs for delivery to our address. We will advise you of any costs before sanctioning repair work.
Personalised & Bespoke Items
If you place an order for an item that is to be personalised by The Merchant Fox on your behalf, we regret that you will be unable to cancel the order. We are also unable to accept returns of bespoke items.
If you personalise an item after purchase from The Merchant Fox, we will be unable to offer a refund.
Changes & Cancellations
Under the United Kingdom Distance Selling Regulations you are entitled to cancel your contract between time of placing your order up until the item is delivered. Anything cancelled after delivery will be treated as a return.
Import Regulations & Duty
If you order goods from our site for delivery outside the UK, they may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied when the delivery reaches the specified destination. You will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. Please note that we have no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. Please contact your local customs office for further information before placing your order.
From time to time, we like to run exclusive offers and promotions via The Merchant Fox newsletter. Please make sure you are subscribed to our newsletter, if you wish to receive updates on any offers, news, and events.
Promotions are only valid for the time periods as stated within the promotional message. Any orders placed outside of the specified time frame, will not qualify for any applicable discount. Voucher codes cannot be combined with any other offers or existing discount. The minimum spend for a promotion excludes any applicable VAT. Times stated within an offer are provided in either GMT or BST format. ‘Free gifts’ are usually dispatched with orders and are only available while stocks last. Fox Brothers & Co Ltd reserves the right to change or withdraw offers at any time.
All prices are shown inclusive of VAT at the current rates and are correct at the time of entering the information onto this website. The total cost of the order is the price of the products ordered plus postage and packing charges where applicable. All credit/debit card purchases are subject to the normal validation checks and authorisation procedures adopted by the card issuer. Any refusal by the issuer of any payment card to authorise the payment to us, for any reason, will not render The Merchant Fox liable for any delay or non-delivery. Where applicable, you may cancel your order in accordance with your rights under the Distance Selling Regulations.
