The Mediterranean Sand Desert Jacket
The iconic patch-pocketed desert style is over a century old, enchanted by subtropical nature and culture.
Incorporating original safari style details, such as its bellow pockets and box pleat to the rear, The Mediterranean Sand Desert Jacket has painstakingly undergone numerous hours of talented workmanship, in order to bring the piece back to its former glory.
Originally thought to have been privately commissioned and made by a tailor, due to its unbranded nature, this vintage piece has been reworked in-house at Fox Brothers' by one of our highly talented artisans.
Over 20 hours of hard craft went into restoring The Mediterranean Sand Jacket, including un-picking any unoriginal features, mending of the fabric, visible alterations to the collar, and sewing on new replacement buttons.
The jacket had previously undergone alterations, such as stitching down the bellow pockets and the addition of metal press studs to the top chest pockets. These adjustments have been removed, leaving behind subtle marks from its past adventures.
The piece will come presented with a Fox Brothers' certificate, detailing the in-house mends and uniquely numbered as part of our authentic reworked collection.
