A classic of functional design, the M-65 Field Jacket is a masterclass in utilitarian elegance. First issued to the United States Armed Forces in 1965, it remains a quintessential example of military tailoring, practical, rugged, and effortlessly stylish.
This particular jacket, rendered in a handsome olive drab, is cut from a sturdy cotton-blend sateen and retains all the hallmarks of the original, with a concealed compartment within the high collar for a hood, shoulder epaulettes, and four flapped front pockets designed for field utility. The sturdy zip fastening is protected by a press-stud storm flap, ensuring comfort and protection in adverse conditions.
Above the left chest pocket, the faded stencilling of the name “BOVER” adds a singular, human touch, suggesting the jacket's former life and the individual who once wore it with purpose. It is this authentic provenance that sets vintage garments apart, lending them depth, mystery, and a quiet dignity.
