Fox Moorland Tweed Exmoor Gilet in Sage Green
The Exmoor Gilet is a timeless country classic, made with Fox Brothers’ Moorland Tweed, a beautifully understated blend of rich sage green and bramble brown wool, inspired by the colours of the British landscape. Lined in British Racing Green moleskin, it offers both warmth and durability, designed not simply for a season, but for years of wear.
Purposeful in every detail, the Exmoor has been cut to sit neatly beneath a wax jacket, crucially without the hem showing. Two generous pockets are lined with soft moleskin, creating natural hand warmers on colder days. It is equally at home layered for a morning on the moor, a day in the field, or simply worn over knitwear in town.
At The Merchant Fox, we believe in buying once and buying well. The Exmoor embodies that philosophy: the more seasons it is worn, the more character it acquires, quietly recording the journeys and adventures of its owner. A piece to wear hard, grow old with and, ultimately, make your own.
The workhorse of any wardrobe.

This jacketing cloth is woven in the town of Wellington, Somerset by Fox Brothers, who have been weaving cloth for over 200 years.
The range of patterns and designs are directly inspired by Fox Brothers’ extensive archives dating to the mid-1900s and echo the colours of Somerset’s surrounding moors in their rich mélange of shades.
Fox Tweed is designed for both city and country jackets, and pairs perfectly with Fox Flannel trousers.
