James Sherwood, author, broadcaster and curator, is the author of The Perfect Gentleman: The Pursuit of Timeless Elegance in London. Having previously written Fashion at Royal Ascot: Three Centuries of Thoroughbred Style; Savile Row: The Master Tailors of British Bespoke and The London Cut which accompanied the Savile Row retrospective exhibition James curated that showcased in Florence, Paris and Tokyo.
Currently, the editor-at-large of international men's luxury bible The Rake and writing for the Daily Telegraph, the Mail-on-Sunday and The World of Interiors. James has been a royal fashion and style correspondent, writing for over 20 years for every British national broadsheet newspaper and the New York Times.
