Ladies Oak Bark Tanned Leather Belt

Our lovely leather belts are created from British leather tanned at Britain’s last remaining oak bark tannery using sustainable English oak bark, which gives each individual belt a unique finish and grain. To complement the exquisite leather, each is fastened with a solid brass buckle and stitched by hand using hard wearing yet subtle linen thread that is hand plied and waxed for each belt as it is being made.

Created in Devon by a traditional saddler who has been working with leather for over 40 years. The leather and buckle are both produced in Britain, as is the case with every luxury item for sale on The Merchant Fox. Simple but beautiful.

The British-made luxury leather belt we present for sale on The Merchant Fox is made from the highest quality British bridle leather. It is hand-stitched using linen thread and fastens with a solid buckle made at a foundry in the West Midlands, where they still use the age old technique of casting in sand.

Each belt is hand made by a master saddle maker, J Highest, especially for The Merchant Fox. Using specialist tools, every belt is cut and put together by hand using skills that have changed little for generations, making every belt a true work of art.
